Easy Bun Tutorial Without Fillers

https://minimallyss.blogspot.com/2017/10/easy-bun-tutorial-without-fillers.html

Buns are such an easy way to look put together without spending tons of time on your hair. While I was in a rush one morning for work, I discovered a way to achieve the look of a sock bun WITHOUT using any fillers or hair pieces. It literally took me 5 minutes, using minimal products.

First let me start off by saying that this hair-do works GREAT on dirty hair. This is actually my go to look on day 3 hair because it holds super well. The only products you need are: dry shampoo, hair spray, bobby pins, and a teasing comb or just a regular comb/brush.

As you can tell, I do not have long hair by any means, but I'm always told this look makes me look like I have super long hair. First step, is to spray some dry shampoo into your hair. Even if you're doing this look on clean hair, dry shampoo will help create some grit and allow it to hold better.

Next, work your hair into a decently high pony tail. I did a bit of teasing in the front to give my hair an extra boost, but that's totally up to you if you want to or not. If you guys struggle with getting volume and want to see a tutorial on how I tease my hair, leave me a comment and let me know!

This next step is where the dry shampoo will really help! Take your teasing comb/brush and tease your pony in smaller sections. The BIGGER the BETTER! As you can see when I'm finished my hair looks crazy, but that's okay! You don't have to be super neat with this step, just get it as big as you can.

After I tease, I then start molding my hair to form the actual bun. By teasing your hair nice and big, this helps in acting a solid cushion when placing bobby pins. At this time, I'll also pin up any baby hairs in the back that may not yet reach to fit my pony tail.

If you feel like your bun is secure and don't like using hair spray you can skip this step. I just like to make sure that my bun doesn't go anywhere throughout the day so I give it a good spray.

And with that, the look is complete! It may seem like a lot of steps initially, but once you actually do it -- it's actually really quick. I know clients usually tell me they struggle at first with looks for their hair, but I always tell them practice makes perfect!

As always, I'm all about super simple looks. If there's ever any looks you want to see or want me to try, just let me know!
