L'Oreal Paris Ever Pure Vox Box Review

https://minimallyss.blogspot.com/2018/02/loreal-paris-ever-pure-vox-box-review.html

A few weeks ago, I received my first complimentary vox box from Influenster! While I've done face sheet masks before, this was my first time doing a hair sheet mask. I made sure to write down all my thoughts on everything so I could give you guys a detailed review. So, here we go!

(Disclaimer: I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. All thoughts are and always will be my own.)

If you follow me on Instagram, then you probably saw me do an un-boxing of this L'Oreal Paris Ever Pure box. Inside, I received a shampoo and then the hair sheet mask itself -- along with instructions. I was going to try to take pictures of myself doing this mask and show you how it looked on, but it was all done in the shower.

The first step is to wash your hair with the Ever Pure shampoo. The one I received was the moisture shampoo in the scent Rosemary. I LOVE that it is 100% vegan, paraben-free, and sulfate-free, and anti-fade. Those are usually qualities I look for in shampoos so that was one of the first things that really stood out to me.

If you are familiar with sulfate-free shampoos, then you know that it takes more water than usual to get a good lather -- that's what I found to be true with this shampoo as well. Once I added more water though, it lathered nicely. As for the rosemary scent, I think it smells SO good!

I was curious to see what this shampoo retailed for, so I looked it up and found it ranged from $6 to $9. Props to L'oreal Paris for creating a great shampoo with amazing qualities for a great price!

Now on to the star of the blog post. This is the packet that the hair sheet mask came in. I didn't know what to expect when I opened it, but in my mind I was picturing something similar to a face sheet mask like the ones you can get from Sephora.

This is what the mask looked like when I took it out of the pack. It opens up at the bottom so that you are able to place it over your head. Inside that opening is where all the product is.

After shampooing my hair, I placed the mask on my head. On the left side where the tab is, I undid that to expose the sticky side, and wrapped it around to secure the mask on my head. I let the mask sit for 5 minutes and let the steam work its magic -- occasionally massaging the product into my scalp.

At first I thought the floral smell was nice, but as the minutes kept passing the flowery aroma became a bit overwhelming for me. However, that was probably the only downside to the product.

After letting the treatment sit for 5 minutes, I took the sheet mask off and rinsed my hair. When I got out of the shower, (before applying product) I noticed my hair combed out a lot easier.

Once I brushed it out I just applied a bit of R & CO's High Dive to my ends. I wanted to let my hair air dry as much as possible, but had to take the blow dryer to it for a few minutes since I had to leave for work.

This treatment made my hair VERY soft and it felt SUPER clean. I think this would be great to do once a week to or every other week. I wouldn't recommend doing this if you are trying to style your hair because it may be too soft to hold a particular style, but otherwise I would recommend using it anytime.

I was also curious to see what the hair sheet mask retails for and found it retails for about $4.

Do I think there's a huge difference between doing a hair sheet mask versus a regular moisture mask? Not really. But, I did appreciate that my hair was out of my face so I could relax and move around without having to worry if the water was accidentally going to wash the mask out before the time was up.

Overall, after knowing what I know now about the products, I would purchase them in store. The only thing I would look for possibly, is a different scent on the mask.

If you try out this product, let me know your thoughts!
