Every now and then I love a good shopping spree -- and I say that lightly because my shopping sprees are small in comparison to some people's. I definitely try to be reasonable with anything I buy. I love fashionable pieces and seeing pictures of people in them and how they're styled, but let's be real -- that's not really me.
I'm a simple person. You won't find me buying a ton of outfits just to shoot pictures for the blog then returning them. And if you want the latest trends, then I'll be honest and say that my blog is not the place for that. I try to be practical with each piece of clothing that I buy.
If you're like me, then it's probably easier for you to say NO to buying an item and have a hard time saying YES to buying something for yourself.
When I do find something that I'm interested in buying, I ask myself a few questions. This helps me not overspend on clothes, maintain a practical wardrobe, and have pieces that I'm confident and comfortable wearing.
Questions I ask myself:
1. Do I have anything like this in my closet already? If I do, does the current one in my closet need replaced?
2. Can I create at least 3 different outfits with this piece or name multiple events that I could wear it to?
3. Is it budget friendly? If not, is it a quality product that I'll get my money's worth?
4. Does the piece fit how I want it to? AKA, do I feel beautiful and comfortable in my skin?
Maybe you have no trouble saying yes to anything and everything -- in which case, you do you girlfriend! But, for those of you that have a hard time deciding like me, the next time you're struggling to decide on whether or not you should
buy a certain piece of clothing, ask yourself these questions. They usually end up leading me to the right decision, and hopefully they can for you too!
