Our Honeymoon: Where are we going?!

A few months ago, Roberto officially booked our honeymoon. If you've been following along, then you probably know that it was supposed to be a surprise for me. Well, spoiler alert -- I now know!

Before I knew, I was still very excited. A lot of people thought I was crazy to not have a say in where we go, but every trip we've been on has been Roberto's planning so I fully trusted him in deciding where we spend our getaway, celebrating our new chapter together. My only request -- have at least a few days of complete relaxation!

So how did I find out about the surprise?

A couple of days after Roberto booked everything, he told me he would tell me the first destination. Once he told me I was already excited. Then he went on explaining how we're going to lose a day traveling and as he was explaining, he slipped on the second destination -- and of course I instantly got even more excited. He was mad at himself, but then said he really wanted to tell me the third destination, but he also wanted it to be a surprise.

Like a little kid who's too excited to hold a secret, he told me where we'd be going for the third destination. I couldn't believe it! Here I was thinking Greece, Italy, maybe even Paris, or anywhere in Europe for our trip, but he did it again. He surprised me in the best way possible and I'm so beyond grateful for the experience that we're about to have together!

So here we go!

Destination 1: San Francisco

We're kicking off our honeymoon with a couple of days wondering around this beautiful city. We've both been to the west coast before to visit my sister and brother-in-law when they lived in San Diego, but we're excited to explore this city together. And of course my one request, I have to see the Full House house!

Destination 2: Singapore

It never fails that he always keeps me on my toes. And as soon as he mentioned Singapore I realized the continent we were heading towards. You see, Roberto has a goal to visit so many countries and all of the continents (besides Antarctica), before we settle down. While we still have more countries to visit, Asia is the last continent he needs to complete his one traveling goal.

So while I'm not excited to lose a day flying from San Francisco to Singapore, I am SO excited to spend some time in this city!

Destination 3: Bali

After I was told the first two destinations, I had no idea what was coming next. I felt like he kept me on my toes that whole time so I couldn't imagine what destination three was going to be. Before telling me, Roberto mentioned how we would be at this destination for the majority of the honeymoon and that it would be the relaxing part as well.

When he said Bali, I looked at him in complete surprise. Never did I think we'd be going there, but words can't explain how thrilled I am. I wanted to pack my bags right then and there!

After he told me each of the destinations, we sat for a little and looked through pictures, ready to explore and see more of the world!

Roberto also mentioned that this would be a first time in each of these countries for BOTH of us. You see, on past trips that we have taken, Roberto had usually already been there so he was a bit familiar with things. But, not this time! And I loved that.

The destinations are wonderful, but the meaning beneath the surface also means so much. We'll be newlyweds, embarking on a new adventure, to a new continent, and new cities, starting a new chapter of our lives. If that isn't the best feeling ever, then I'm not sure what is.
