Things I've Been Loving

https://minimallyss.blogspot.com/2018/01/things-ive-been-loving.html

Happy Tuesday, friends! I'm excited to share with you some things that I've been loving lately -- including beauty, books, and other random things!

(*Throughout this post I'll be sharing links and I just wanted to let you know this is NOT a sponsored post. If there ever is a time when I do a sponsored post, I will always let you know. All thoughts are and always will be my own!)

Skin Care

I started using this combination by Murad around November. I think it took some time for my skin to adapt from my old regimen, but I LOVE both of these products. I use the cleanser and serum once a day -- usually at night. I've already repurchased the serum once, but as you can tell the cleanser lasts for a while. These products are gentle on the skin and have a refreshing smell. Not only has this helped with my acne, but I love and appreciate that it is anti-aging as well.

Within that past year and a half, my skin has gone a bit crazy with hormonal acne and crazy breakouts. I was at my wits end, but feel like I finally found a routine that works for me -- and I'm thankful for these two products. I pair this combination with my next favorite that I've been loving.

If you couldn't tell by my previous favorite, I have been very into anti-aging products. People have told me that I'm so young to be worried about wrinkles, but I don't think preventing them early is a bad thing. To be honest, I am at the point where I would rather invest in a good skincare regimen and have good skin than having to spend money on tons of make up just to attempt to cover it up.

I have been using this serum for about a month and I'm obsessed! I was so afraid to add Retinol into my routine because I didn't want it to make my skin super dry and irritated. Luckily this night serum by Peter Thomas Roth not only has my skin looking "fresh," it also seems to help combat my acne as well. I still get breakouts here and there, but this product has helped my skin so much. I'm so glad I invested in it.

If you guys are interested in me doing a full skin care post or my day/night time routines let me know. I'd be happy to dive more into my skin type and all the different products I use!

 Make Up

I was given this travel size Buxom lip gloss in White Russian and I must say its perfect. I love the soft pink color and shine it gives, not to mention the minty feel. I know some people don't like anything minty on their lips when it's cold, but I don't mind it. It's such a simple color and a staple in my make up collection from here on out.

I did a review on this product when I was about a month into using it. (Actually it was my first post on this blog!) This product has not let me down. I never had long, voluminous lashes. But, thanks to Grande Lash I now love my lashes! When people comment on my lashes, (which I never thought would happen) I always share this product because it has changed the game for me. If you weren't blessed in the lash region like me, check this out! I was a skeptic at first, but now I can't stop raving about it.

Television

A lot of the shows I like to watch have picked back up again, and lately there's two that I really find myself enjoying more so than others. The first one is This Is Us. I mean come on -- seriously hits me right in the feels every episode. I don't think I'm ready to see what happens to Jack. I already have a box of tissues ready.

Another show that Roberto and I enjoy watching together is The Good Doctor. I think Freddie Highmore is so talented in his role. Roberto's the one that initially started watching it, but each week I found myself getting into each episode. I don't know what it is about this show, but it's definitely a new favorite of mine.

Books

One thing that I'm trying to do more is to read. After wanting to read this book months ago, I finally finished The Magnolia Story. As if the world doesn't love Chip and Jo enough, this made me love them 10 times more. This story was not only beautiful, but was also so motivating. I love how down to earth Chip and Joanna are and how real they were in writing this book. I highly, highly recommend reading it.

Miscellaneous

We bought our diffuser about a month ago, and it has been one of the best things we ever decided to get. At night, I love setting aside time to plug in my diffuser and try different blends, while reading and enjoying a cup of tea. I also like to use this during the day if I start feeling congested or even just to relax while I blog. Now that we have it, I don't know how I ever functioned without it.

These are a few of my favorite things. What things have you been loving?
